Today was filled with mini-adventures and one involved making paper hats. The BF came up with the brilliant idea to make paper hats using today’s Wall Street Journal. This came to him while we were outside of Rocco’s sipping on a $2.75 pitcher of PBR.

I bought a new camera--a plum-colored Nikon Coolpix S220! (Thank you, tax refunds!) I bought it on Amazon and took advantage of the free two-day shipping they have so it should get here on Wednesday.
This is what I expect to receive in the mail in a few days. And, yes, it's purple. It's nothing fancy but it's a good deal.

Oh God.
Graduation is four days away. Four. Four. Four. Four days away.
I just picked up my cap and gown. I think it’s huge but apparently it’s the right size for me. I may go see what my friends’ gowns look like on them for comparison. Sometimes I get really self-conscious about my petite size.

There’s yet another reported incidence of Filipinos catching and eating another rare animal. A few weeks ago it was a buttonquail, this time it’s a megamouth shark; that’s two counts against the Philippines so far for 2009. I also think that last summer a farmer ate a rare eagle.

These breaks make me thankful for social networking websites and instant messaging services. My cellphone, AIM, Facebook, MSN, Skype, and Twitter–to name a few–are what I use on a daily basis just to keep in touch with friends and get reacquainted with old ones. It’s a bit of an upkeep if you think about it but it doesn’t seem to matter in the end.
Something that made me laugh and happy today is how a friend insists on only talking on Skype because of how slowly said friend claims to type. Gett…
