Somehow I bypassed the Galaxy News quests (there's two related to it) and still finished the game. If you just stick to the main quest (anything related to your father), the game takes about 10-20 hours. If you try to do all the side quests, it can take up to 100 hours, so there's no hurry. After I finished it, I reloaded an earlier game and just avoided the final mission so I can keep playing and exploring.

I didn't notice much difference in day vs night except all the stores are closed at night. You can only fast forward time if you have a bed to sleep in. If you can't see well, you may want to turn up the brightness in game settings, since this can vary with your TV. One note about lockpicking, you can only move the hairpin and screwdriver left or right. As for hacking, the "number correct" means which letters are in the SAME position as the password (not how many letters the password shares as I thought originally). Sorry for making your page the official RBJ Fallout 3 page, haha.

If you are wondering whether or not to detonate the bomb in Megaton, it doesn't matter a whole lot. If you do blow up the city, you get negative karma but you get an apartment in a nice hotel and a robot butler at Tenpenny Suites. If you don't blow up Megaton, and then you warn Sheriff Sims, you still get your own apartment and robot butler in Megaton (which is what I did). The quests available change a bit but there are more than enough even after you max out at level 20. I did notice that the prices at the stores in Tenpenny are just a little higher than Megaton but it's not that significant. Just depends on whether you want to live in "Bartertown" or "Fancy Hotel."

What system did you get Fallout 3 for? As for the quests, you say yes to as many as you can or want to. Finishing quests gives you experience points which levels you up for more skills and perks. Some quests are clearly good or evil, and will affect your Karma. Doing lots of good things will give you positive karma and make you a good character. Evil things take away karma and make you evil. There's also neutral if you are evenly balanced. Being good/neutral/evil affects how people react to you, which henchman you can recruit, and what your level "title" is. You can see how good/evil you are by checking your Pip-Boy -> STATS -> then the far right GENERAL screen. You really don't have to pay attention to it if you don't want to. Just play the character you are or want to play.

Awesome picture, Soo! The thumbnail looks like you are digging for gold, but the larger version shows it is clearly just proximity. Haha.
