So, if we are all in agreement here, I'll post the suggested topics:

Primary Topic

Write a personal account of how you found Rice Bowl Journals, and your experience being a member of the community.

Alternate Topics

1. Write about your past Halloween experience.

2. Write about Thanksgiving: a) upcoming plans, b) things to be thankful for, c) random thoughts and feelings about this holiday.

Rogue Topic

For lack of a better term, we'll define the "rogue topic" as any topic that can be used in any given month. And so far we've come up with:

Travelogue - Write about any recent travels, vacations, journeys you've had recently.

well, we need to add another topic. a rogue topic that can be added to any month... like "Travelogue", where I'm at this month?

oh, that would be good --the rogue topic, i mean. i don't do thanksgiving or halloween, and i've been a bit stuck with writing the RBJ one (i googled, i saw, i joined...not terribly exciting ^ -). is the travelogue agreed?

Sure! The "rogue topic" can be there for each month as a "catch-all" topic in case the others don't work for you. :o)

I *kinda* celebrate it, because I work for an American, so I get a holiday during Thanksgiving, but Thanksgiving usually happens near my birthday, so I give thanks too ;)
