one that inspired this thread: people with no spacial awareness whatsoever, suddenly stopping in the middle of the street or waving around arms, shopping bags, cigarettes etc. aargh!
along the same line are the couples at the train station each morning who stop, immediately after stepping off a crowded escalator, for their little peck-on-the-cheek-send-off. Sure it's sweet, but get the hell out of my goddamn way!!! >_<</body>
solicitors and door-to-door salespeople! who still knock on my door even though there's a "no soliciting" sign there.
also, cigarettes and smokers! sorry, if you smoke. but i spent years in niteclubs, bars and resstaurants putting up with all the smoke while playing gigs. I'd come home afterwards and my wife would always say I smelled like an ashtray! Even my drums would smell like cigarettes!
So glad that ordinance was passed in California prohibiting smoking in venues where us musicians have to perform.
And I'm extremely sensitive to smoke. I was gigging last night and people were smoking out in the patio and there was an open window. And I started having a sneezing fit onstage. Dangit!
i used to perform regularly at Croce's (ingrid croce's restaurant, widow of jim croce), and before the law was passed prohibiting smoking in restaurants and clubs, i had to come home smelling like an ashtray every time i played there.
